One thing I recall you calling SA:O was "weirdly misogynistic." Were you explicitly referring to Asuna's role in the second half of the first season (damsel-in-distress and tentacle-victim)? Because I kind of felt that way in the first half too, especially with such a heavier focus on how good she is in the *kitchen* instead of with a goddamn sword. What do you think? Am I grasping at straws here?
Asunas part 2 role is atrocious, but the setup with Silica is just as bad, and the Suguha storyline is just a god damn war crime.
